Can anyone give tell me about this contra model? How does it compare to Selmer 41 and Leblanc 340? Thanks.

Wow... I have never seen a contra like that... Just for fun, does anyone know how much 14.400,00 Euros is in American dollars?

(Sorry to correct you for the 2nd time in 2 days, Chris.)

When the Euro was invented, it was set at a level intended to make it roughly at par with the US dollar. It fell and fell, then it rose and rose.

Right now, to convert from Euro to USD you must multiply by 1.21. So that contra is about $17500.

Still want one?

If there are so many people on this board unwilling or unable to have a civil and balanced discussion about important issues, then I shan't bother to post here any more.

To the great relief of many of you, no doubt.

That's alright David, I couldn't find my currency converter on my machine, but I didn't realise the Dollar was that weak against the Euro as well as the Pound.

Anyone know what Ripamonti Basset Horns are like, or even what their Ab piccolo clarinets are like - seeing they do a model with forked Eb/Bb and LH Ab/Eb as well! How do they manage to fit all that on?

Ive just seen the official list price of Selmer rosewood BBb contrabasses are 18,873.oo Euros. (I can't get the Euro symbol to work!)
