Has any one ever heard or played sonatina by kuhlau transcribe for flute, oboe, and clarinet. I was wondering if there is a recording of it, also if it is one of the better trios to do for a sole/ensemble competion.
Thanks
Noah

At the Eastman School of Music this past summer, three of my good friends (a flutist, oboist, and clarinetist) were in a chamber group that was assigned this piece. They performed it live in a recital that was professionally recorded onto CD's which we all now have copies of. Contact me via email and I'll reply to you with the mp3.

It is a very boring piece for the clarinetist. I played it two years ago.

I second Robert's opinion.

I played it three years ago I think and recall that it was a REAL yawner.

My 2 cents.
