I don't know classical music very well and I am a beginner clarinettist. I am looking for a fairly easy piece (at least for the clarinet parts) for B-Flat Clarinet and for violin (violinist is really good). Does anyone have any recommendations?
BTW, I figured out the first 50 secs of Goodman's "Goodbye (Closing Theme)" earlier today. I know it's slow and easy, but for me, the beginner, it was big. I hope to figure it all out by the end of the week. I am doing so by ear.
Oh, and if you have any recommendations for a duet for clarinet and piano that is easy, I'd be up for that too. Thanks in advance.

Well... it depends on what you mean by "beginner"... The Milhaud Suite for violin, clarinet, and piano isn't that hard for the clarinet (probably playable by a decent high school level player).

There is a violin & clarinet duet by Hindemith that I played many years ago. I can't remember the exact title right now. It was written for a music festival Hindemith was affiliated with in the late 1920's-early 1930's. They were, if i remember correctly, written to be played outside as incidental music. The title "Ploner Music" comes to mind, but I'm not sure if that is correct.
