Hazelton Instruments

Anyone had any dealing with this brand of instrument? I have a student who purchased a clarinet.

A quick Google search shows that Hazelton band instruments are a division of Samick Music Corporation.

Samick Music (USA) http://www.samickmusicusa.com/ is a branch of the larger South Korean company Samick Musical Instruments which primarily deals in fretted instruments and pianos.

They look like they're made by one of the big Taiwanese companies, probably the same one that makes Artemis/Trevor James/Sapphire instruments.

The article in Musical Merchandise Review (link previously posted) stated that Samick Corporation of South Korea was finally emerging from bankruptcy reorganization under a new investment group ...GBK

Thanks for the info. I'm emailing the company for addtional information about production procedures, places of manufacture, and where their instruments can be repaired.

The Musical Merchandise Review was an interesting read. Especially in regards to pricing of their equipment. Makes one think about how everything else is priced...
