WE bought it used a few years ago and would love to know its approximate age. the # on it is D28190..it is wood, and has Modele Buffet Crampon, Evette & Schaeffer Paris on the case.
Thanks for any help or direction you can give!

If it was truly a Buffet-Crampon we could find out its age, but it is really an Evette & Schaeffer (even if it is a Master Model it ends up being serialized as an Evette & Schaeffer) and the serial number-age table for Evette & Schaeffer isn't available, at least to my knowledge.

I have a note from an eBay auction wherein a seller stated that a D2XXX (four digit) was manufactured in 1939-40. Of course, it could have been hype. No way to know that I am aware of. The E & S is a very nice intermediate instrument. The Master Models are even nicer. I owned a Master Model prior to my R-13. Good luck. mw

Contact Francois Kloc at Boosey and Hawkes, he identified my E-13, also an Evette and Schaeffer.
Nice guy, although he may be a few days responding.
