I don't know much about either of these. Can someone give me some indication of what quality and level of horn these are.

Thanks.

They are intermediate horns. The 450N is a nickel plated horn with blue steel springs and I'm not sure if the thumb rest is adjustable. I think the 450 got a new bell and/or barrel design lately. I'm not sure...can anyone verify?

The 550AL is the Yamaha Allegro. It has nickel plated keys with gold plated posts. It has an adjustable thumb rest and blue steel springs. The Allegro is a good intermediate horn. I actually own the 450AL. It's just like the 550 except it has no adjustable thumb rest.

They are ok horns, but not top of the line. Good for a hobbyists, doubler, or good junior high/ high schooler.

Anything else you want to know?
