Anyone got any measurements for the extra bit of plumbing?

As a first estimate, just duplicate the spacing between the low Eb and low D toneholes for the next two notes down. At those frequencies who the hell can tell if it's out of tune?
p.s. I built a homemade low-C extension for my low-Eb bass clarinet, and it works, so I'm not shooting from the hip.........

The player of this contra isn't exactly brilliant, so I think I can get away with that!
30mm bore on contrabasses? The largest diameter nickel silver tubing I have is 26mm.

Your extension doesn't need to be metal. You could use plastic or whatever...for my extension I used 1"-ID (sorry about the non-metric units) acrylic tubing I ordered from a plastics supply house.
