Hi, I bought a pomarico saphire M mouthpiece and noticed it is very hard to project my sound with it. I was wondering which model of pomaricos projests the best. Myreturn period is almost up so I have to decide soon. BTW, I'm using vandoren traditional 3 1/2 reeds.

It looks like you already answered your own question via an exchange.
Whether or not you answered it with any accuracy is a different question.

Of the pomarico mpcs that I've tried, I've preferred the B models (Bright) to their Mellow ones. Same reason (The M didn't seem to project enough for myself) Maybe try a saphire Bright if you feel comfortable with Saphire's tip opening, lay, etc. and just want to see if the Bright will project more.

you might also want to try the diamond bright with a # 2 or 2 1/2 strength reed. That will project for you.

I play with the saphire B. It does project more than the M, but not a great deal more. I found I had better luck with the Jody Jazz. Add the insert and the trumpet players get jealous.
