 Ecstasy

MiGOD, is it wonderful to hit some correct notes in a chamber trio. Had that joyous experience with some visitors from SoCal with the Mozart KV408 "Kegelstaat Trio" this afternoon. I'm still teary.

BTW. These folks found me through the Amateur Chamber Players' directory.

I love playing in intimate little groups.

Earlier this week, our quinted got in some good licks in the Beethoven OP 71, but not as sonorous/sensuous, rewarding as today's session.

AHHHHH

Bob,

congratulations!

Isn't ACMP a great thing? I've used it to put together everything from trios to large wind ensembles (aka: Mozart Serenade for 13) - winds, strings, piano.

More people should join it.

I've been registered with ACMP for almost 2-years, and lots of tourists (damn!) come here to Sandpoint; but this is the first contact I've ever made through the organization.

I agree that more people using the matchmaking service (and the coaching system) would be good for both old and new members.

I wish I had known about that site before!!! I fell in love playing chamber music when I first tried it three years ago, but only had my college chamber ensemble to play in. You can bet I'll be signing up soon.

Alexi

PS - Bob P, I also played that movement with the college ensemble, albeit only the first section (we have many small groups and the teacher limits each group to one piece) and it definitely does have some very moving moments in it! I loved it and wished I could've performed the whole thing!
