Bass Clarinet, what model is it?
Author: bass clarinet person

Hi! I have a university bass clarinet (a selmer low c) and i know that it is a relatively new instrument, playing well in tune with itself (with the bassoons in my band is another story) but i was wondering how you can tell which model of bass clarinet you have. I just know about the different model #'s but have no clue what i have!
Thanks! :-)

If it is a new (made in the last few years) low-C bass clarinet, I would suspect that it is a model 37. The Selmer web site (www.selmer.com) lists only three models, the Selmer USA plastic instrument to E-flat, the Selmer Paris model 35 to E-flat and the model 37 to C.
