I am doing a gig in about a month where the hiring person doesn't care so much what type of ensemble I have, but wants to have various types of music played: mainly a mix of classical and jazz. I mentioned the idea of a woodwind quintet and she seemed to like that possibility a lot.
Are there any good books with arangements for WW quintet with jazz standards and/or other styles? I am sure there must be a lot of this sort of thing for string quartet, but I don't know any good books for WW quintet.
This is going to be background music for a large reception of about 150, and playing off and on for a few hours, so I need things appropriate for that. I wouldn't mind aranging some things myself, so if anyone has ideas about that, too....

Sax quartet might be a better choice......lots of material for wide range of styles. I'm sure there are lots of people out there that could help you put this together. John
