There is a Musica Rara website (actually, it was the first place I looked) at:
<www.musicarara.com>
The first sentence on the website, however, was:
"Welcome to Thompson Edition, Inc., your source for works originally published by Musica Rara. "
so I think ownership may have changed and you may want to contact Thompson Edition directly to save some time. (Or at least call Musica Rara, rather than mailing them.) The Thompson catalog listed piano reductions for the Krommer pieces but the only rental scores and parts I could find were a few band works from the Thompson catalog.
Best regards,
jnk

Thanks Jack...
Obviously I haven't looked at the Musica Rara site in a while, but had remembered that at one time they did rent the parts. In fact, the price was quite high.
I guess I'll have to put their new contact info in my files...GBK

This may be too late but you can borrow copies of Krommer op 91 from The International Clarinet Association library at the University of Maryland http://www.clarinet.org/archives/ . Your contact there is Ben Levy brlevy@wam.umd.edu . You only get one copy of each part, but that's better than paying Brietkopf and Hartel's exhorbitant hiring costs.
Unfortunately, they don't have the orchestra parts for op 35 (the other double clarinet concerto). Anyone got them?
Hope this helps
Nic (Bolton Chamber Orchestra, England)
