Hi, I am thinking about trading my R13 for an RC with auxilery Eb key, articulated G#, and low Eb- FULL bohem or however you spell that. Are these good? Would it be worth it? It's 900 bucks I think- It's in the classifieds. Would there be any problems with it? Thanks

It may take you awhile to get used to the third ring on the left hand. I have and almost full boehm, ie, forked Eb and articulated G# but not the low Eb or alternate Eb-Ab for the left hand on the lower joint. I though I always wanted this combination but after I got it I really prefer my regular "standard". I suggest you play on it first to see if it really is what you want.

Hey Chris. I can't answer you're question, but I can tell you that I have a clarinet like you're loooking for. I have a 1952 vintage R-26 "Full Boehm" clarinet. I'm in the process of getting it completely overhauled. Email me if you want to talk more about it. I'm at Wilsoney@aol.com. - Tim

If you are going to get the RC only by being interested at the key works, I recommend not to.
What matters is the tone. RC is a very French tone clarinet not like dark tone R-13. I would suggest how they differ by playing a RC at a nearby shop briging your mouthpiece and reed. If you like RC, I would recommend to change mouth piece and reed together such as Vandoren B40 and 2-1/2 or 3 Vandoren traditional or equals.
I owned RC and RC prestige once.RC is named after its designer Carre(First name Raymond?). Look at the bell joint shape. It is rectangular. I guess it is to change sound harmonics.
