Hey guys, I'm thinking of purchasing a new Buffet professional clarinet. Which retailer do you recommend besides SamAsh and WWBW?

Walter Grabner posts on this board, he recently became an authorized dealer. The benefit of purchasing from someone like him, is they make sure the instrument is in top playing condition before he sends it to you, sometimes they are perfectly fine tuned at the factory. Also, look up Vince Marinelli and Albert Alphin, they also fine tune them before they put them up for sale. Grabners site is: http://www.clarinetxpress.com/
Good luck!

Hello,
Buffet certainly has done a good job of marketing. Try other brands before making a decision!

The Muncy's in North Carolina are just large enough to have good prices, but still a family business for personal attention.

PS - I believe they will match any written price offer.

That maybe true, but the problem is "sends it to you". Don't buy a clarinet online or by phone. It would be better to actually go and try instruments from your local store and buy online from any store. If I flew 12 hours (each direction) and then drove 14 more hours (each direction) for my clarinets, there no reason not to drive to a store if you are already in the USA.
Good luck.

I TOTALLY agree that you should give Walter Grabner a shot at getting you a great instrument. He is a great guy and quite conscientious about everything he does. His prices are quite reasonable, too. Just look him up under sponsors.
