Ken.............thanks for the 'update'.
I had the pleasure to hear Julian at the Oklahoma 2002 Symposium.
At that time, he was attending Indiana University and studying with Howard Klug.
He performed a recital comprised of pieces for solo cloarinet, clarinet and piano and duets with Howard.
Irrespective of his age, he has amazing talent. His musicanship and playing were superb !
As mentioned in the article, his "mum" is his chaperone. Mrs. Bliss was there in Oklahoma but stayed in the background and let him 'do his thing', chatting with people. Normalcy.
I'm certain he'll do just fine playing the Mozart Concerto.
