Lessee,
Control systems,
Math,
Aerodynamics,
Machine Design,
If I had the time back, I'd major in music, play bassoon and (classic) guitar, and do engineering as a hobby.

Check out the ABRSM forums for more info.
I agree, the OU courses are brilliant. I work with someone who just finished an OU MA.

BA Economics
BS Electrical Engineering
work towards MS in Economics
Loved economics, made my living in engineering, now I'm retired and spend 4 hours a day tooting the clarinet. Never crossed my mind to be a music major.

Majored in Computer Science, minored in mathematics. If I was wealthy enough not to have to worry about money any more I'd go back to school for Composition or woodwind repair.

Applied Biology.
Never applied it, though.

Junior and senior high school bands
2 years of college band
BA in psychology
Dropped out of Ph.D program in experimental psychology
4-year stint as a business computer programmer
BSF (Bachelor of Science in Forestry)
MS in Natural Resources Biometry
20 years and counting as a programmer and data modeler in a natural resources setting
8 years as a re-awakening amateur musician
And the latest: My 18-year-old bass guitarist son found out yesterday that he has a better chance at getting into medical school if he presents a "well-rounded" undergrad career. So, instead of a traditional hard-science pre-med track, he's going to be a MUSIC MAJOR!!! And he happens to be enrolled in a college with a dynamite jazz program! (Doctor, schmoctor, boy - study music and fulfill my dreams!)

Lucy - if you read this - I'm interested in your history with linguistics, and foreign language translation. I have a daughter who wants to major in foreign language, and we're surveying schools for this purpose. She is particularly interested in translation as well. If you don't mind my asking, where did you go to school, would you recommend it, and what other schools are you aware of? My email is stansey@adelphia.net. Thanks.
Bachelor's in music ed
Master's in music ed - instrumental jazz concentration
minor in psychology

BBA-Economics
JD--55years practicing law and haven't gotten the hang of it yet; 68 years playing the clarinet without practicing and haven't gotten the hang of it yet, but don't tell the people who've been hiring me for the last 62 years. Started clarinet lessons for the first time last year, and hope it won't hurt my playing.

I have a BS in Public Relations, which is what I pretty much think PR is. Minor in English...6 classes away from another B.S. I might still get it although it's been 10 years.
When my kids are older and I can afford to buy food I will probably go back for MA in Music Education and try to teach at the CC level.
