Hello,
I am an adult clarinet/sax player looking for someone in the Houston area interested in getting together to play duet material? Thanks.

Years ago, I recorded myself playing the bottom line of various duets. I still get the (reel-to-reel) tape out occasionally.

Great idea! With the equipment more easily available one could record track over track, it can take practice to another level.
Back to the Houston search, why not ask local university profs for example? There've got to be students willing to play duets or to play in a small choir. This is how we obtained a new player in our clarinet choir. Or maybe a local high school music teacher plays clarinet and would like the opportunity.

I have recorded myself as well with the same intention - however, my equipment's not particularly sophisticated. Of course, there's nothing quite like reviewing material with another player. I am still searching. Thanks.

You can also Video Tape yourself.
Makes the Cues easier.......
But really, the Video tape often sound a lot more clear and less distorted than an audio tape.
