I was recently reminded (by Diz) of this source for viewing full scores.
http://www.dlib.indiana.edu/variations/scores/
There are MANY full scores available for viewing from the orchestral, chamber music, keyboard, opera and vocal repertoire.
Of particular interest to clarinetists are:
Beethoven Septet, op.20
Mozart Quintet K.581
Schubert Octet D.803
- and numerous symphonies by major composers.
An excellent way to view the major clarinet orchestral excerpts in their full context...GBK

Footnote to Glenn's comment above ... these are all in the public domain, hence no copyright issues.
Without music, the world would be grey, very grey.

Thank you GBK for sharing this information with us!
Does anyone know where exactly is the clarinet solo in TOSCA that's often asked in auditions?
Thanks!

If you were considering finding the full score on the ISU site - it seems that most of their opera "scores" are piano reductions. The solo is from “E lucevan le stelle” Act 3. Its on pg 282 of the piano score from the site - if you are still interested.
There is an excerpt book compiled by Ben Armato titled "The Opera Clarinetist" and you should find the excerpt there. Also, most city public librarys or University/college libraries should have the full orchestral score to Tosca - due to the popularity of the opera. You could always hand copy the clarinet part/transfer it to computer via Finale/Sibelius for a clean look.

the Giamperi excerpts (volume 1 - Ricordi) also contain the solo from E lucevan.
another great site for in-the-public-domain scores and parts is:
http://www.mutopiaproject.org
always adding new material; quite a bit of clarinet music, as well as all the mozart duets for horn (french or basset?)

Thanks, larryb. Always wanted K. 581, now I have it.
Darn, I didn't get you anything.

Thank you GBK.
By the way, do you know of any instructional excerpt cds beside the one by Larry Combs?

Music Minus One recordings "with Orchestra" are actually the soloist playing along with the recording of the Orchestra in their studio - they never actually are recording together.
That's why some sound better than others.
