 Bettoney-Voxman-Altenburg Writings
Author: Don Berger

I recently re-found a number of "Woodwind Magazines" from the early 1950's, which have articles, both a series and individual, generally entitled The Clarinet. The series of some 10 [I have 5] is Voxman's translations of Altenburg's ?book? and "emended" by Harry Bettoney, and a couple of articles by H B himself, the few of his writings I know of [beyond his Silva-Bet patent, US 1,705,634]. These contain a great amount of historical-technical info I'm sure is of interest to us [collectors?]. Do our ?senior? historians, such as Al Rice, Ken Shaw, GBK, MC [et al X many], know of this info source, and others?, perhaps somewhat hidden [by time]. Todays thoughts, Don

Thanx, Mark, Don
