 Rossi Clarinets

My former teacher in Santiago makes the final assembly of Rossi clarinets.
I visited him last week, he had three horns on the pipe line. Two grenadilla Bb and one Cocobolo C. Serial numbers are now around 650 (mine rosewood A is 110 and was bought in 1996). This shows that its production is very limited (only 5 or 6 clarinets each month) and the process is completely by hand with attention on all details as is possible to see in the horns. In fact many improvements have been made on the design. (for instance, in my horn, tone holes are drewed on the wood, now they are of the same piece of wood)
The waiting list is now for some 18 months.
I feel very lucky having the opportunity to see part of this process.
