Where can I get a software that could help me with my counting and rythm? I will really appreciate it.

My kids are using Earobics, which you can find at these addresses E-mailinfo@cope.dkInternet
- World Wide Web www.cope.dk
Snail-mailCope MediaNørre Søgade 25cDK-1370 København K

It was a fair chunk of change, but it works and the rhythm unit is good. However,it was very hard for one of my kids to get going on it at first, he had trouble feeling the pulse. It has decent pitch training too.

I prefered my old rhythm program rhythm ace, but it does not work with the new sound cards, or midi. It was more forgiving for the pulse impaired.

I too have used Rhythm Ace. I have seen it in the WW&BW technologies catalog. I do not know the compatibility though. It may have been a while since I have seen it though. I used the one on my teachers old computer. The only color the screen was was black and orange!

What about just using a good old pocket-sized electronic metronome? Just a suggestion. You can probably find one for under $20 and it's portable!

Actually these programs really teach rhythmic reading in some really great ways. For the novice there's a look, listen copy mode. Rhythm Ace used to give you a percent accuracy mark. You could fight your way from the 70s to 99%.

Some beginners are so rhythmically awkward they can not tell that they are off the beat. Personally rhythm ace really improved me and Earobics has done wonders for one of my kids. The other one's 'got rhythm.'
