Hi,
I want to find some clarinet and viola duets to play for church and wondered if anyone knows of anything?
(It doesn't have to be sacred music - can be classical, folk, gospel, anything really, and can be with or without piano.)
We are both good players so Advanced level is fine, or intermediate.
Thanks

The Bruch 8 pieces are very lyrical pieces, you need a piano though.

You can try contacting Aage of the Darkwood Consort. He plays bass clarinet with a viola player.
If you get yourself a C clarinet, you can always play duets of viola with violin, flute, oboe, etc. No transposition required.
I find C clarinet very handy for this purpose.

And ... when you become a virtuoso ... Max Bruch also composed a fabulous concerto for Clarinet and Viola, with orchestra ... a little performed, but wonerful piece.
Without music, the world would be grey, very grey.

While you're recruiting your piano player, download Mozart's KV498, the Kegelstaat Trio: clar, va, pia.
get it at the Mutopia Project

The Bruch 8 pieces and concerto, the Mozart Kegelstatt Trio, the Schumann Fairy Tales. They are all fairly standard chamber music repertoire and require a good pianist for performance.
Good Luck
