I am in search of a recording of the Castelnuovo-Tedesco sonata. I have followed up on the two recordings that I found mentioned in a search of old posts (Vovka Ashkenazy and Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr) without much luck. I just thought I would try here to see if anyone has ideas for me (or, in my dreams, a recording I could buy from them!). I am between teachers for a couple months and tackling this piece on my own, and it would be really nice to be able to hear the piece once or twice so I know what kind of style I'm aiming for. Thanks!

Robyn,
by the way, it's Dimitri (Askenazy) who is the clarinetist on this recording. Vovka is his brother and a pianist. Their father is the conductor and pianist Vladimir Ashkenazy.

Oops! Thanks for letting me know. I'm not sure how I got that mixed around.
And I did find the Pan website. The only problem is that it is coming from Switzerland and their ordering system is weird. I would have to put in an order, and they would mail me a paper order form. Then it would take several weeks to get here. When all is said and done, it would be about a 2 month process. Which is okay and I might eventually do it, but it doesn't help me this summer. I was hoping there might be an easier way.
