I really know little of Pruefer's history, and the words " Festival Series" are new to me. I have had a "more-modern" plastic [HR] cl, not great but OK. I do have a "single-bodied" wood, 19/7 [keys/rings] ser # 2501, with G Pruefer, Prov. RI in an oval , with a stylized G P above and L P, B, below, somewhat dating it to 1920 or earlier. John Butler restored it for me, it plays quite well, considering its age and possibly some harsh treatment earlier. He and Mark C et al may have more info re: P, and I suggest you search our archives for what we have discovered. Good horns, Don
Thanx, Mark, Don

I once found something about the Pruefer company on the internet (I have a Pruefer from about 1940). The company quit making clarinets when the factory burned. Unfortunately I can't find my printout about it but I think I remember it stating the factory burned in the 1970s.
