Hi everyone,
I just want to know your opinion about something, I play the clarinet since 8yo (and i'm 15) and I play in my local harmony...they "rent" me a clarinet because I also have some lessons, anyway, this clarinet is a Yahama YCL-24, I want to buy one, but I don't have a big budget and I'm not sure of taking a "beginner clarinet" because and not so much beginner...Is the YCL-24 better than a brand new clarinet for beginner (or a cheap intermediate one)...?
Thanks,
Christian

Your YCL 24 is a fine instrument and there is no reason to look at other clarinets at this point.

I played on that instrument (or a similar model?) all the way through two years as a music minor in college. I then bought a professional horn.

For under $200 a second hand Ridenour TR147 is a tremendous value.
You'll spend more than $1000 for a better instrument, new.

ebay, good values, But ask questions. I got a very good b-12 on ebay for $125, about 17 years old but, it works wonders none the less. good deals all over the place.
P.S. don't buy unless they have good pics, and not just 1 or 2.
