It's really, really good. I worked with Ben Armato who designed it on how to use it to get the best results.
The thing works really well. It's worth every penny - recontours the reed to vibrate better. The new design works a lot better than the old one (old being more than 1 year old).

I bought 5 months ago and its really good specially for serious clarinet
player. I think if you want to try this reed wizard at first you must try a lot of reeds to know the progression of the woods and the vibration of the reeds. I used a new design thank you.

David reported, "The new design works a lot better than the old one "
David B, my question: is it a change in the opposing slopes of the table or simply the new carbide file in the head that you site as "change"???
BTW, include me in clarinetist group that finds the RW a remarkable aide in profiling my reeds for optimum performance. I've been using one for almost ten years now, and have always gotten positive results with its use. I agree, a bit "pricey", but well worth every $$.
Ben Armato graciously fitted my old head with a newer carbide file that shaves the reed surface much more smoothly than the older file. He is easy to work with, accesable through his website, and is truely one of the "good guys" in our clarinetting world.

Change in the opposing slopes of the table - so it works closer to the tip of the reed when reprofiling it.
