Tonight, I was testing reeds from a new box of VD Traditionals 3.5's, and I got 10 good reeds out of 1 box! I had never done that before. Has anyone?

Yes, almost always. This particular reed happens to suit me quite well most of the time. Perhaps you are reaching a new level of adaptibility in your playing where minor reed variances are no longer bothersome.

I use Mitchell Lurie Premiums on Bb clarinet and usually get 5 out of 5 at least usable -- often 5 out of 5 excellent reeds.
