 difference in legere reed styles

I've sent a few e-mails and have not gotten a response from legere. I'm basically interested in trying out legere purely for practice purposes so that I can make my reeds last longer and not have to use them when I don't have enough time to properly dry them to prevent warpage. What is the differnce between the regular cut and the quebec style? I've also heard about the three-dot style but cannot find any realy information about it. While I'm on the topic, which strength would be good for me? I use gonzalez fof size 3.75, and for a long time I used Vandoren v-12 size 4 and still use them if I have nothing else every now and then. From what it seems on the charts, I should use a 4.25, but I want to be sure before I order anything. I play on a lomax classic a4(med-open). I tried a search on this and didn't find the specific answers that I was looking for on thos forum or on the legere website. If I missed anything please forgive me. Thanks.

This may not help you much since I'm a beginner, but...

I've been learning with Rico 2.5s (I know, I know, I've been reading about what others think of them, but at least I can practice with them...) and tried Legere 2.5, 2.75 and 3.0 (not the "Quebec" cut).

2.5 were comfortable, 2.75 were something for me to strive for as my emb. toughens up, and 3.0 were out of my league, for now.

I am sure others will be able to fill in other portions of the strength comparisons.
