I've got a pianist and a string quartet--I'll play the clarinet. I can mix and match instrument combos as I please. Please suggest "gems" from the repertoire for us!
Thanks!

I love the Francaix Trio for Clarinet/Viola/Piano. It's one of my favorite trios and deserved to be played more often, i think!
I also like the Milhaud Suite for clarinet/violin/piano
Copland wrote a sextet (arrangment of symphony no. 2) for clarinet, string quartet and piano I believe... I haven't heard it but it might be good to look at - you could use your whole group
There are the obvious trios/quintets that I'm sure you already know, so I won't go into those (mozart, brahms, beethoven, etc)

If you like to transpose and/or have a C clarinet, look into the many Baroque "trio" sonatas (some are actually for 4 instruments...). They can sound really really cool on "other" instruments like clarinet!
Of course, Bartok Contrasts comes to mind.
There is also a Khatchaturian Trio for clarinet, violin, and piano.
Stravinsky arranged parts of L'Histoire du Soldat for clarinet, violin, and piano as well.
There is a John Harbison Quartet for violin, clarinet, cello, and piano.
