Does anyone know what the desigations C1, M1, C2, M2 mean for these mouthpieces. I assume the 2 is more open then the 1. But what about M and C? Any comments on their quality and what an amateur should buy?
I'm going to put it on a very old wooden Normandy which my teacher thinks plays pretty well.

Hello:
I think they might refer to medium vs. closed (RE: openings of the facing), but I am not 100% sure of this).
I am writing to ask where I might find these. Woodwind & Brasswinds did carry all 6 facings, but now only carry the C2. A few other web sites I saw also only carried the C2 model. I had hoped to try each of the 6 facings, however. I happened to learn that Paquito D'Rivera uses one of them, and I love his tone.
Any info you might have on who carries the whole line would be appreciated
Thanks
Steve

I bought both an M2 and a C2 when Music123 was selling them off at half price. Use cut off Vandoren 3.5-4.0 reeds (30 years old) on them and really can't tell the difference between the two. Both mouthpieces work just fine on the old Normandy.
