I have a mouth piece that is brilhart "nilo w hovey" is this a rare or valuable mouthpiece? I have been trying to find info on it and have come up with nothing. I am planning on selling my daughters clarinet but want to know if it is valuable to know how to price. Thanks for any info you can give.

Very, very few used mouthpieces, arb87, are "rare" - or valuable... in my opinion.
What kinda clarinet? Bb? Eb? Alto? etc. Make? Brand? Ser. #? Condition?
Other BB-ers will also likely tell you to check Completed Items on eBay for similar clarinets and how much they sold for.

As far as I remember, brilhart mouthpieces are generic mouthpieces that were added with the clarinet at purchase. I have one somewhere in the basement. And it is horrible.
I would expect it would fetch a pretty penny (in the LITERAL sense) . . . (or is that the literal "cents"?) . . .

Some of the older Brilhart saxophone mouthpieces (Great Neck, New York) can fetch a nice price and are often in demand by players and collectors.
Charlie Parker played a Brilhart Tonalin Streamline on alto during part of his career ...GBK

I have a Nilo Hovey/Brilhart Bb cl mp also, it plays quite well. A while back I asked for info, got some, N H was a teacher/player, this info can be found by using SEARCH asking for Hovey. It may be an "infrequent find", but not of any more than mediocre value. Don
