 Piano...

As all music majors do I became a functional piano player in college. When I left college I spent all my time mastering my woodwind doubles and really let my piano skills slide. Now- I avoid it at all costs.

I want to put in serious daily shedding time on the piano now. Could you point me in the right direction for a book or two that will get my reading back up and be enjoyable to play and listen to.

Since you already know how to read music quite well I assume, you don't want any of the standard beginner texts. That being said, if you're simply looking to builld up your technical abilities again (and not drive yourself crazy with exercise based texts) I'd recomend (simply because I use it when I'm feeling out of practice) The Well Tempered Clavier. If yo uwant to build up your actual "playing" skills again (comping chords in one hand, etc), I would look into some of the texts that colleges use for their proficiency classes. I have a book that's called "Keyboard Strategies", but I've never actually used it since I wasn't required to take the progression of classes. I'll look through it and see if it's any good....
