How do you sharpen a reed trimmer?

See if you can replace the blade to sharpen some thing that fine involves very fine ,read expensive, wet stones. Those are usually more for one stone than you spend on the cutter.

True, Mrdi, doubt it can be sharpened. Just press hard and trim up with fingernail sissors if necessary. Don

The blade is not replaceable on this type, and it's a Cordier.

I really don't think they can be sharpened. I think they just wear out, especially the cordier. One thing I learned many years ago from my college clarinet teacher, Richard Pickar, was to make sure the cutting part goes all the way through the part that does not move. If it doesn't, you need to work it back and forth and force it through. You will get a better, cleaner cut. I have had my cordier for many years and it has not ever needed sharpening.
