What experiences have you had with instrument purchases made from catalogs, such as WW&BW? In what condition did the instruments arrive? Were many adjustments needed? How was service? THANKS!

I ordered my R-13 from WW&BW. I had them send me three so I could pick the one I liked the best. They came in perfect condition and I picked the one I liked and sent the other 2 back. The only problem was that it took a couple days longer than they said it would.

I bought a B-12 from WW&BW last June. It came in a very timely manner (about a week) and I've had no problems with it. Just problems with the embouchure and fingers!

Purchased a Buffet Eb E11 from IMS in January. They didn't have the instrument in stock, but committed to a delivery date and achieved it. Also held the shipment until I had returned from a business trip. The instrument shoed up precisely when I wanted it.
The instrument was personally selected for me, and my teacher checked the instrument out against an electronic tuner. He was amazed at the accuracy of intonation.

A year ago I bought a bass clarinet from IMS. I got personal service from the president, who is a clarinetist. I was happy with the process and with what I got.
