To me, perhaps not to you readers, its an "EUREKA" [I have found it !]. To copy US patents issued before 1976 [old file], I now can do so, having downloaded the ALTERNA TIFF program. A trick involved is, IF you have QUICK TIME [as I found I had], as a TIFF default, it can't do it. The A T info gives you the steps to "uncheck" this default, and I have copied off, from the USPTO pat # retrieval site, both a 1975 and a 1931 pat. of cl interest, will do more in near future !! Try this as tech info [on most everything] !! Don

Alex, as far as I know this funny comp business, the Alterna Tiff is the best for viewing and copying the older patents from USPTO.gov. Search for it per se, and if you will specify what you wish to know, I'll try. Experts, GBK, Mark C et al, please help US. TKS, Don
