Goodmorning, all...
I am playing the bass clarinet part for a reading of the Mahler 7. I have not yet seen the part, but I have been told that it is written for bass in Bb and A.
Does anyone have a copy that is entirely in Bb?
I completely understand the issues with copyright and all that, but since this is only for a reading, I would rather not have to purchase the part, so if someone doesn't mind sending along a copy, please email me. (If I were going to play the piece for more than a single evening or for a performance, I would totally purchase a copy.)
Does anyone know if a completely Bb part exists? Worse case senario is that my transposing of a half step gets better!

When performing this 4 years ago, I resorted to re-writing the 1st movement (the only one for bass in A). It didn't take too long and might be worth keeping. Only certain sections of it would need re-writing.
Alternatively, using a scan-and-transpose software program may do it, but I'm not sure of copyright on that. Nor do I know if a B flat part is published. Probably not.

You could purchase The Orchestra Musician's Library on CDr. Volume 2 for clarinet. It has all the Mahler Symphonies on them with ALL the clarinet parts including bass. Debussy and other's are on them too. I think I only paid no more than $20 for it. I have all four volumes and they're great! You can get them here......
