Is it just me, or is music edited by Carl Fischer fraught with inconsistencies?

Don't be too hard on Carl Fischer. He died on Valentines day, 1923.

wait, so now I'm supposed to be nice because he died on V-day?! :-P

I just find that his editing is shoddy. because of his editing mistakes I lost vital points in an audition. because the judges knew the piece and faulted me on playing what was written. I find myself constantly correcting misprints-- missed accidentals or wrong accidentals -- incorrect time signatures, etc.

not acceptable.
