I have 2 Buffet bass clarinets, about 12 years old. The instruments play fairly well in tune except B and C over the break. These notes are very sharp. Any ideas for tuning if the rest of the instrument plays well.

How are the corresponding lower 12ths (low E and F)? If they're also a bit sharp you could have a technician modify some of the lower toneholes (effectively move them downward) and perhaps add a slight extension to the tenon to move the bell itself down.
This tuning problem is very common (almost ubiquitous) on all but the newest bass clarinets.
A partial fix (much less radical) which might help a bit, is to reduce the opening height of the lower register vent by putting a cork stop under the vent key --- however if this key also produces the throat Bb it may make that note unacceptably stuffy -- you'll just have to experiment.

I pull the middle joint about the width of a nickel to help correct the tuning of these notes. However, I still have to lip them down for optimum tuning.
