Hi Everyone,
Many of you have heard of the Tuba Christmas where a whole lot of low brass get together and render bottom register carols. I have heard the group and must agree that it is a lovely tradition for the yule season.
However, if you listen to the following link, I think you'll agree that we may never have a Trumpet Christmas.

Enjoy!

GBK,
Yes, you are correct. This arrangement shows the truly emotional way that the instrument can be played by a gifted technician.

John, fyi that piece has already been posted here not too long ago. Doesn't mean it's not a classic! Look for a topic that starts with "HAHAHA!"...

Truly an inspired work. Whenever I hear Christmas music from now on, I'll think of that (great, just what I need...).

Hi Everyone,
Time to elevate this thread again for the Holiday season. I hope that these "performances" will take your breath away once more.

This screaming style of "playing" started with The Roy Stevens embrasure and may very well be why the last trumpet sounding has been cancelled. Praise the Lord and pass the Cotton.

Ohhh. My ears hurt. It brings back painful memories of growing up with an older brother who plays (and still does) trumpet. He loved to screech like that just to irritate me.
How many trumpets are too many? 2?
