I have been asked to play a piece called Hebrew Sketches by Alexander Krein. But, I have never heard of the piece. Any information on it. Any one played it? Let me know.
Thanks

I had it up on Kalman Bloch's Mp3.com webpage when it existed, but it no longer is there.
There is a recording of it on Gary VanCott's service for sale! (click on sponsors for music and books)

A 3 movement work for clarinet and string quartet by a composer who is not performed nearly enough.
There are a number of recordings available (Bloch, Klöcker, Drew, etc...), but (IMO) the most moving performance is Artie Shaw's (recorded in a live radio broadcast in 1947) of No. 2.
It was contained on the anthology Artie Shaw - A Legacy ...GBK
