There's an extensive list (which includes the previous list) which also indicates band music with "fun" clarinet parts right here - no need to go slumming around in a trumpet list! :^)

no maslanka!? david maslanka is a well studied clarinetist he just gave up playing because of the reeds. go figure! i would put his music ahead of many on the list. some on the list aren't even for band. transcriptions are great, but not what the composer intended. band has a strange ring to it that the composer must accomodate for and many don't. it is very rare that i play or hear a band piece that i find acceptable as far as timber goes.

Mark, I reviewed the list of “Best Band Music” by Roger Garrett that you referenced and find a number of selections missing which our Town Band Plays and which I believe belong on the “Best Band Music” List.
All of these have what I consider Excellent Clarinet parts (both musically and enjoyable to play). I don’t dispute any of Roger’s selections, but am at a loss to understand why many of those I list are not on his list. I would like to see some other Favorite Band lists from those of you who play in Town Bands. Here is a list of my favorites from our 1999 play lists:

Ray,
forward them to Roger.
Roger's band director and clarinetist at IWU and had a _lot_ of input from the Klarinet mailing list.
