I am performing one of the k318 duets in a recital and I need some program notes. I searched Sneezy and found a few comments, but not enough. I also did a quick search on the web Does anyone have a source for this info?

Are you certain that you have the correct Köchel number?
K318 is the two-movement Symphony in G major, written in 1779...GBK

did you mean the K380 duets from the Voxman book? Originally a Violin Sonata written in Vienna, 1781, according to NMA.

I mean the 6 warhorse duets usually seen by clarinetists in the Drucker-edited edition. I probably have the index number wrong.

I have a record (if you're over 30 you will know what those are  that has Drucker playing one of the parts of the duet. It's titled "play clarinet with me" or something like that. I'll dig it up later and see if there are any program notes on the album about the work - that's what the album is based on.

I haven't seen these for many years, but I have a vague memory that they're the same as the Mozart duets in the volume 2 of the Voxman Rubank book. If so, they're transcriptions of Mozart violin sonatas.
It's also possible that they're the Mozart duets for two horns (or possibly two basset horns), K. 487, some of which I think are in Voxman vol. 1. These are the pieces where Mozart wrote on the MS "written in a skittle parlor."
I'm sure David will give us the final word.

Ok - the Drucker Album is completely useless as it only has his name, picture, and the title 12 Mozart Duets!!!
Play Clarinet with me is the title.
Fickler Records published it.
However, I did find a stream of the K380 at
http://www.musicabona.com/catalog/DHR78215.html.de which ironically has on it 2 musicians who I promoted (Julian Olevsky and his wife Estela).

I think I can sort this out now, maybe.
The duet based on the violin sonata K378 is found in one of the Drucker volumes (it is also identified as K317d). 3 movements: I. allegro moderato; II. adagio sostenuto, cantabile; III. Rondo. allegro - allegro vivace - tempo primo.
In addition to the duet version, this violin sonata was also transcribed early on for clarinet and string trio (as well as flute and string trio, and a string quartet).
