I have an old GM Bundy - Paris wood clarinet that has no serial number on it. With no serial number, is there any way to fins an approximate date of manufacture? I had also heared that long, long ago, Selmer marketed Bundyas an intermediate instrument. I had an old plastic bundy when I was about 10 years old, which I traded in on a Series 10 when I was 12, and this is nothing like that old plastic model. I just finished a restortation on it this afternoon and played on it for about a half hour and it feels and sounds alarmingly similar to an old 1930 Selmer-Paris
K series I have.
Does anyone have any info on this, or have any idead how I can date this without a serial number?

You could contact Raplph Morgan. He could give you some help on this. His address and phone number are listed here on sneezy. Go to the equipment section and then the Selmer link.
I have seen some of these older Bundy clarinets and believe they are good clarinets (we're talking about the Paris Bundy). I also believe that you are correct about the bore of the instrument. I think that they are very similar to the "K" and "L" series Paris instruments of the 30's. I do believe that George Bundy took over the Selmer operation in the states about that same time frame, but would have to reread the Selmer history to confirm the actual date.
