Richard Stoltzman and Kalmen Opperman's barrel

Ok, I keep hearing Richard Stoltzman and Kalmen Opperman use a rosewood barrel, but what brand is it? It looks brown with a silver oval in it.

Kal Opperman makes all of his barrels. You can only get these directly from Mr. Opperman and he will only sell to his students.

Mr. Opperman makes barrels out of many different types of wood.

I have barrels made by Mr. Opperman from boxwood, several types of rosewood, ebony, and Dalbergia Melanoxylon (mpingo, grenadilla, African blackwood).
