I've noticed that the Marcellus recording of K622 is now out of stock on Amazon, although they do have a used copy for $32.51. A far cry from the seven bucks I paid two years ago!
A brief search elsewhere on the Web is turning up no copies available.
I have a copy (two, including my old LP), so I'm not worried for my sake, but what about the children?? Will this piece of clarinet history no longer be available to share with the next generation?
On an unrelated note... My wife and I like to watch the show "Joan of Arcadia." I've noticed several times in the bookstore where the Joan character works her after-school job, they play the Mozart concerto over the store's music system. Nice to see there's a mainstream TV show out there giving the kiddies a taste of our world.

Thanks for finding it.
Yes, I too noticed it wasn't available at the Sony site. And my favorite obscure recording site, uncommonlyclassical.com, also only lists the individual movement-type recordings you mentioned.
Anybody know if Sony tends to reissue their classical recordings if they run out of stock? I'd love to get my hands on the Cleveland/Szell box set of the Beethoven symphonies.

Sony rather frequently pulls and then reissues recordings. However, only time will tell which ones they bring back.

Sony has been working on remastering a lot of the CBS back catalog in DSD for release on SACD-format discs, similar to what we have seen with BMG with the RCA Living Stereo series. The more recent reissues on LP then CD of the Cleveland recordings have been sonically absolutely dreadful so it would be a blessing if they went back and did it right. There is so much beauty trapped in those recordings just waiting for hi-res digital and a good mastering engineer to let it all out.

Don't know about the availability of this CD, but I definitely don't like the show Joan of Arcadia.
Good luck finding this CD (for whoever that is looking for it).
