 Selmer v. Buffet

I notice in an article about the Met Opera clarinetists in the most recent Clarinet Magazine that 3 out of the 5 members play Selmer (2 Recitals and 1 Signature); the other 2 play Buffet.

Is this an anomoly? a trend? the Morales legacy?

It seems Mr. Morales has stayed with the Selmer Recital a bit longer than he has in the past with others.
