Looking to improve my current clarinet and have been looking at Buffets as of late .... the two in particuar. Any opinions on which is better?
Any other opinions on different brands or models?
Thanks in advance for any and all advice!

I don't know the International, but I played an E11 for 20 years and found it a good student instrument. I came into some cash last year and upgraded to a Buffet RC, but I am quite happy to keep my E11 as a spare intrument. Depending on how much cash you have, if you can afford an R13 or RC (I preferred to RC - I cannot say why, it just 'felt' better to me), then it is worth serious consideration. If you are looking at a student-quality Buffet model, then the other 'E' series instruments are worth a look. From what I understand (I am open to correction if anyone knows better), the higher the number in the letter range (E10, E11, E12 etc) the better the instrument. BUT: Go to your local music store and TRY them for yourself. What suits me may be abysmal for you.

Thanks, Mike. I tried the International earlier last week and liked it. Found the E-11 on the net at a better price and wondered if it was as good or better.
