i'm not exactly sure what piece(s) you are asking about
there are three "Clarinet Quartets" (cl/vln/vla/vc) that "may have been arranged by Mozart" (if you follow the dodgy musicological "research" of Dieter Kloecher).
Perhaps one of these is the piece you mean?
These are quite fun to play, and audiences seem to like them. Published by Musica Rara
recorded on Naxos by Jozsef Balogh- there are other versions (notably Kloecher) but the Naxos will be the most easy to find.
i hope that this is helpful

The Klocker Mozart quartets are a joke.

In his notes to them he says the arrangements are likely Mozart's own.

I have played them with superb string players who all say that Mozart could not have done the arrangements as the string writing is poor, as is the voice leading. Likely they are Klocker's own or done by some hack.

Plus, the parts are filled top to bottom with horrible, obvious misprints.

Frankly, it is hard to believe anything Klocker says or writes. Even if some of his 'discoveries' are indeed authentic, who would believe him when he foists such obvious frauds on the public.

kia ora MSD
i agree with you re Herr Kloecker, only i think it a bit past even him to do a modern arrangement and then pass it off as Mozart. Isn't there evidence showing the quartets as being printed in the early 19th century? (i don't mean to suggest that i believe they are by Mozart, as you point out the string writing pours cold water on that theory).
i would imagine that it's most likely some publisher (Andre?) hired someone to make the arrangements in order to get the most $$$$ out of the "Mozart catalogue". I agree that there is no evidence to suggest that they are by Mozart and that Kloecker has been quite fraudulent in this respect (and in other cases).
still, despite all this, some good tunes eh?
