OK - given all this about the Master Model, how much could one expect to pay for such an instrument? I under stand that condition is a big issue, but lets take an example:
Sound: hard to tell the difference between this and an R13
Keys: Excellent - since they are solid, they look like brand new silver plated keys.
Bell: small crack (but notice sound comment above)
Upper joint: one check and it appears to have been pinned as a cautionary measure.
Just been overhauled and adjusted - with a good air leak check.
Reason for asking is that my instructor, who is a professional, wants to buy this horn. However, after testing a Concerto and an 10SII, all of which did not live up to this Master Model, I'm now a bit reluctant to give it up!
