Happy New Year to you all. 12 hours ago there was an amazing fireworks display on the River Thames! All for the 2012 Olympic Bid. Hope you all have a prosperous new year.

The fireworks were brilliant - but living in London myself I certainly wouldn't want the Olympics here. Travelling around on the tube is bad enough during the summer anyway, with all the tourists - it would be horrendous with all those extra people around for weeks on end!
